What Causes V Fib After A Cardiac Catheterization?

Question: Hi I am a 53 year old male I have many med problems like lupus, diabetes ,APLS and heart problems two weeks ago I had a cardiac catheterization and went into V fib I don’t know for how long they are check to see if I had a stroke because of some altered mental status and left leg and arm problems. Would the v fib do this I do have a right bundle and t wave and small vessel ischemic disease should I be worried

Brief Answer: Yes It is possible to have stroke as complication Detailed Answer: With are without V fib when you do cardiac catheterisation there will be small risk of embolic stroke. If there is arrhythmia or low blood pressure chances will be higher. Also if you have clot in heart already and they can move to brain and cause stroke. Your RBBB and T wave inversion may not have major role in stroke causation. They would generally do CT scan brain if weakness persists and that should answer it.
