Question: In September 2012 I had oblation done to no longer have a period and because I was starting to have pain during sex. Then in August 2013 I started to have pain on the left lower abdomen (straight to the left side of my pelvic bone. I went and consulted with my gyn. He did an ultra sound and found a cyst inside my left ovary. The cyst wasn't the type that was going to burst or go away on its own (blood cyst) and the pain was so intense especially after sex. We decided to remove my left ovary. As I was waiting for my surgery to be all set up the pain was shooting over to my right side. When I went in for my pre op I told him about the pain moving. He scanned me again and not only had the cyst grown on the left side, there was also one on my right bigger than the left. He suggested I have a total hysterectomy by laparoscopy surgery. I did so December 2012. I knew that the recovery time was going to be a process, so when I didn't feel any relief and just felt worse....thrown right into menopause....them at my 6 week check up he said that the pain I was feeling on the left side was because I wasn't healing properly so he burnt the area to make it smooth. (Cauterized) the area (which really hurt) then the pain got slowly worse but I thought it was because of the burning procedure). He released me after that even though I told him the pain was getting worse. He said to be patient that the recovery time varies for different people and sometime it could take a year to fully recover. The pain has gotten worse and now I have a hard time eating full meals because I get horrible gas every time I eat. I have lost over 25 pounds in the last year. I called my gyn again and he told me to go see a gastro Dr. I did and had a colonoscopy which was normal. Now I don't know what to do. I am in pain or hurt from the same area (lower left pelvic area) all the way up to my neck. My stomach hurts when I eat, I have consistent chest pains ( sometimes on the left, then middle, then right). The pain sometimes feels like it is behind my left chest bone and makes my breast hurt. I know what anxiety is as I suffer from that but this doesn't feel the same. All the pains from the front of my body move around to my back. So like right now I hurt on the front and backside of my body. I have also now started to have pains shoot down from the lower left front to my vagina. I feel like I am falling apart and I am scared and don't know where to turn next. It was suggested that it might be my IBS but I think something did not go right after the hysterectomy. I have pain when I eat, pain after sex, pain when I over work myself. I had a few polyps that were removed after the colonoscopy which the gastro said would not cause this pain. I am having discharge from my vagina area, but no blood. I need some direction. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
You have chronic pelvic pain

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thanks for your query.
Chronic pelvic pain may be due to IBS or from pelvic adherences due to hysterectomia,or both of them.
You have done all the examination to determine your pelvic pain, but you have no clear diagnose.
Now we have new Understanding of Chronic Pelvic Pain ,
-Chronic pain causes what's called CNS upregulation, or an increasing sensitivity of cells that transmit pain sensation.
Spinal cord not only transmits pain signals up to the brain but also back down to other organs.
And pain pain lasts more in time and become stronger.
For this reason you should go to consult with a specialist who manages pain.
He or she will give you a proper treatment .
For vaginal discharge you may have a vaginal infection, hence only by doing vaginal swab you can determine who is the cause.
Take care of your self
