Brief Answer:
Hiccups do occur in stroke

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
Hiccups occur very commonly after stroke.
However, we always exclude any kidney pathology that can also cause hiccups.
I suppose his kidney function tests must have been done.
We also give our patients medicines like Pantoprazole because many a times acidity causes irritation if diaphragm and hiccups.
I also suppose your doctor's must have given that too.
Hiccups would improve with time.
Important here is to maintain his BP accordingly and to treat stroke. Usually with such high BP, Hemorrhagic Stroke occurs.
This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.

Thank you for your opinion. But I am concerned about him. He is discharged and is home now but he is suffering from nausea and vomiting and unable to take any eatable or fruits or anything suggested by doctor. I am staying away from home so cant tell you the exact report and medicines given to him. but I want to know what should be done to take him out of this serious condition. He now a days cries a lot and get emotional and also his speech ability is weekend. Yes he suffered from hemorrhagic stroke. In his CT scan and MRI report there were blood clots and also his heart muscles are found weak, that's why he was admitted in ICU and after a week he is back home. Still hos blood pressure is at 170, 180 or so..

Brief Answer:
Detail Follows.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
I understand your concern.
I would like to know that he is eating by himself from mouth or through ryle's tube inserted through nose.
He should be taking soft and liquid diet. As far as his emotional liability is concerned this might be due to Psueudobulbar palsy associated with stroke. Nothing can be done for that. He just needs routine care .
However his BP is high. Initially the BP in hemorrhagic stroke is high which is reactionary. Infact our target Systolic BP is around 150 mmHg in stroke.
I would recommend to discuss with your doctor again for management of his BP.
If you have any further query please ask me.
