Brief Answer:
muscle pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
After going through your query, the cause of your suffering is because of excessive physical exercises as it all started after walking and may be not supplemented by proper diet. If you are deficient in vitamin D it may lead to weakness of bone and muscles.
You might have increased the physical exercise for which your body was not prepared for (If am not incorrect).
For now my advice would be take a break from walking (long duration) for few days (15-21). Take balanced diet rich in calcium (1000mg/day) and vitamin D (1000 i.u. /day) along with vitaminB12, B6.Vitamin D is available in weekly dose pattern as well as injection, just talk to your local doctor. Take ibuprofen to reduce pain and do ice fomentation.
Activities that might help prevent calf pain include:
• Drinking plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration
• Stretching your leg muscles or riding a stationary bicycle for a few minutes before you go to bed
• Massaging the painful muscle with your hands or with ice
• Walking or jiggling the leg
• Taking a hot shower or warm bath
• These pains at times may be associated with POTASSIUM or magnesium deficiency and so foods such as bananas, potatoes, prune juice and dried fruit are to be taken as dietary supplement.
• Also, calcium fortified foods like seafood and fish, almonds, flaxseed, oats, prunes, sesame seeds, tofu and XXXXXXX can help to stave off muscle pain & spasm.
• Avoid acidic foods and drinks like tomatoes and vinegar which blocks the body’s natural ability to absorb calcium leading to muscle aches & muscle fatigue.
Do get muscle relaxants prescribed after proper examination and blood tests in case the pain is persistent.
I hope this answers your query.

You sure it isn't peripheral arterial disease? I googled it and the symptoms are similiar? When I was walking that day it happened so quickly and was very painful walking. Didn't stop because I was with others and gutted it out. I did have to stop 3 times to urinate.

Brief Answer:
Less likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Deep vein thrombosis or peripheral arterial disease comes last among the list of probable diagnosis. A muscle pain or tear or nutritional deficiency is a more common cause and should be ruled out and treated first. In case the abovesaid measures do not help then go ahead with all the necessary investigations.
Hope my answer is helpful.
Do accept my answer in case there are no further queries.
Regards.
