Brief Answer:
Mild blood stained discharge can be normal.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

After a hysterectomy, there can be a mild watery blood mixed discharge for 2-3 weeks. Since it has been four weeks since the surgery and there is bright red bleeding then it is worrisome. You need to consult your gynecologist and get an ultrasound scan done to rule out any abdominal collection or infection.

If it is a mild and brownish discharge then it suggests old blood and is not worrisome. Do watch for any worrisome symptoms like fever, pain abdomen or heavy discharge which needs immediate medical attention.

I hope this answers your query.
