What Can Be The Side Effects Of Unienzyme Taken For Indigestion During Pregnancy?

Question: Hello doc, I am 2 and half months pregnant..today I felt severe gas n indigestion and bymistake I took unienzyme without knowing that it contains papain n fungul fiastase..i have took only one tab till now...is it too harmful...or will it cause serious side effect on baby??please tell I m worried a lot.plz help me,out\\

Is papain too harmful...unienzyme contains 60mg of papain I am too worried now please help

Don't take stress as stress will worsen your indigestion gas and acidity. papain is papaya proteinase and with one dose it will have no harmful effect on the pregnancy so not a matter of concern . it is a misconception associated with it that papaya induces abortion . but as a matter of fact it is just that it has a laxative effect . so don't take stress. in case you have further queries you can get it touch with me. all the best take care.
