What Can I Do About Five Bad Valves In The Legs When Have Been Diagnosed With Venous Deficiency?

Question: I have been diagnosed with venous deficiency. I have five bad valves in my legs. I am a marathon runner. My legs are a mild case. Is there anything I can do to improve my valves short of a surgical solution? Exercise, message, legs up above head, salt over shoulder or even swinging a dead cat ?
Any suggestions would be appreciated...except for the dead cat part.

Brief Answer:
It looks like Varicose veins.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

As per your description, it looks like Varicose veins of the lower limbs. Here, the Valves inside the veins will not function.
I am sorry to say that there is no method/procedure to correct the veins. But, you can avoid routine conventional surgery.

Previously, the vein used to be removed surgically with few small incisions / cuts. Now a days, RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION (RFA) is done for varicose veins. It is a day case procedure. No need for admission. Results are very good. Please consult a vascular surgeon and proceed further.

Nothing to worry. Till then, use compression stockings to the affected lower limb.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further. Wish you good health.

Regards
