What Are The Withdrawal Symptoms Of Amlodipine?

Question: My sister having got pregnancy and the gynacologist advised to stop taking amlodopine from 8th month of pregnancy. later she is having pulse of 140 and doctor advised to go for thyriod test..doctor said that T3 and T4 levels are high so she is having high pulse rate and sinus tachy cardia ..She gave birth to baby boy after one month and baby boy is safe...But my sister still suffering from tachy cardia even after thriod T3 and 4 levels are with in normal range....is there any chance that stop taking of amlodopine results tachcardia?? is the tachcardia is due to thyriod or any other reason ??

Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Such increased heart rate requires evaluation by ECG and2D echo. Even thyroid disorder may cause tachycardia.
Get investigated for anemia .
Betablockers like propranolol, atenolol or metoprolol can be taken.
Thyroid medications to be continued.

We have consulted 2 Cardioligists before and after pregnancy also.. they have done ECG and ECHO test and they said that heart functioning is very good...pulse rate is fluctuating and the BP also fluctuating while standing..Endroconologist advised to take propranolol 20 mg 3 times a day and cardiologist advised to take amlodopine 2.5 mg per day...can she take both medicines simultaneously..
