default
Posted on Mon, 7 Dec 2015
Question: This is with reference to previous query (id: 233912) on dentist / Endocrinologist.
Want to know about best cap for molar tooth. I had done RCT and now need to finalise cap for tooth. Temporary filling will be cleared tomorrow and permanent filling will be done. I need to give cap details tomorrow only. Doctor has given me multiple options ranging from 5k to 15k with different warranty.
Want to know which CAP will be more appropriate. Metal, Ceramic or anything else. Request to mention detailed brand / material info so that I can go for it.

Brief Answer:
You can either get a Porcelin fused to metal crown or A full ceramic crown.

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain and taking in reference the previous query I would like to tell you that as it is a molar tooth the most important thing that has to be considered is strength of the cap as molars have to take all the forces of chewing..
You can go for Porcelain fused to metal [metal ceramic crown] in which there is thin layer of metal inside and a layer tooth coloured ceramic /porcelain layer outside so that if gives a look of natural tooth and also has strength due to metal inside..
There is another option that is All ceramic crown and it contains only ceramic and no metal and has a better appearance due to no metal and has a good strength too..
But if you ask me my suggestion I would suggest you to go for metal ceramic type of crown..
It is of less cost as compared to all ceramic cap as well as have high strength and able to take heavy chewing forces..

Any further queries are welcome..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
