Hi XXXXXXX,
Hope you are doing well.
The following tests need to be done for your mother in law:
a. Complete blood count
b. Fasting and Post prandial blood sugar
c. Complete lipid profile
d. ECG
e. Mammogram
f. Colonoscopy
g. Pap smear
h. Blood pressure, height and weight need to be checked
i. DEXA scan

The tests for your husband include:
a. Fasting and Post prandial blood sugar
b. Complete lipid profile
c. ECG
d. Blood pressure, height and weight need to be checked

Here I am assuming they are healthy and have no complaints as of now. Do let me know if this assumption is incorrect

Hello, for years now I have nausea during and after eating and a lot of times when I m not eating. I wake up with bad indigestion every day and suffer all day with it whether I eat or not. A lot of times it feels like something is stuck. I ve had my gallbladder checked and it functions properly. I was told I do have a fatty liver. I ve lost about 15 pounds since November without trying because of the nausea and not being able to finish eating. Could it be possible that I have a food allergy even though I don t have to eat to feel bad? I also have bloody stools and lately loose bowels almost not making it to the bathroom. I ve had 2 colonoscopies with normal results. I could go on but I think this is enough to start with.

My husband, age 62, lifelong non-smoker, limited caffeine consumption (1 serving per day), and no ETOH, currently on treatment for HTN, GERD, hypercholesterolemia, and IBS. He had a negative colonoscopy 6 mos ago. A year ago he had a bovine aortic valve replacement and a single secondary CA bypass. Prior to the heart surgery he was very anemic. That resolved with oral iron. Now at his annual physical he has a normal H&H but very low ferritin (15). His mother had a coagulopathy and his sister has IHS. He was tested for IHS but the test was negative. I wonder if there are other tests that could be done (blood tests) re iron stores issues. Our PCP has just said he needs to go back to GI for a repeat colonoscopy. I think that a narrow look at a potentially wider issue. What do you think?
