What Are The Symptoms Of Brain Tumor?

default
Posted on Mon, 22 Dec 2014
Question: For the past week and a half i havent had much of an appetite. I jist got over a cold a few days ago, and three days ago I was in the ER because I experienced severe vertigo and nausea for aboit two hours. The doctor said I had some fluid in my ear and diagnosed me with BPPV and gave me an rx for meclizine. Since then, I still dont have an appetite, I have nausea upon awakening (not pregnant), and I get dizzy spells throughout the day, to which I am tired after. The dizzy spells usually happen after I eat. Im scared these are symptoms of a brain tumor or seizures for a brain tumor. I had a normal MRI with and without contrast of my brain six months ago. I also had an eye exam yesterday that was normal, but he didnt dialate. Could a brain tumor have grown in that time? Very scared.

Brief Answer:
THis is NOT SUGGESTIVE of a brain tumor!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query,

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms and all the inconveniences this has caused you. The most suggestive symptom of brain cancer is headache. You have just no reason to be concerned about a brain tumor at this time. Your age, symptoms and negative MRI 6montsh ago make this impossible.

I do understand you are not feeling too great, you are on medications and I will like to see you free your mindset and be positive. Please, when sick our appetite suffers and it is up to us to make that conscious decision to eat. You may not feel like but I encourage you to do so. For instance, you do not like to take drugs and yet you still take pills because you perceive that it would be helpful. I will like you to do so with meals as most of these symptoms of dizziness, fatigue may be suggestive of low blood sugars resulting from poor food intake. Please, do no ignore feeding and eat even if you do not feel like.

I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish you well and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Thanks for using our services.

Ok, so definitely no brain tumor? I have had headaches off and on, but theyre not severe and feel like tension headaches that start on either side of my head and go down to my neck. I also clench my teeth though too. So its impossible to have a brain tumor with a clear normal MRI six months ago? Youre sure?

Brief Answer:
There is NO CANCER here!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

With a clear MRI and other factors, I am against any possible cancer 99%. I will ask that you suppress this thought because the various though could be responsible of your headaches. Like you mentioned tension headaches, the main cause of this is stress. Please, refrain from getting trapped in such a cycle.

Be calm, relax, positive, and optimistic. Stick too your treatment and make efforts to eat. All would soon be okay. Keep me updated with your progress. I wish you well. Always a pleasure addressing your concerns.
