1. Anthrax is caused by a bacteria called Bacillus anthracis. This bacteria forms spores and the infection caused by it can get serious. The usual natural route of anthrax in humans is through close contact with infected animals.
2. Anthrax infect causes symptoms depending on the route of entry. Anthrax which is from ingestion of infected meat can cause following symptoms
(i) Fever and chills, swelling of neck lymph nodes
(ii) Sore throat, painful swallowing, hoarseness, nausea and likely blood vomiting.
(iii) Diarrhea can occur with blood.
(iv) It can cause headache, flushing and red eyes.
(v) There can be abdomen pain, bloating and fainting.
There are other symptoms of anthrax which occur when the bacteria enters through skin (cutaneous anthrax), lung (inhalation anthrax) and injection anthrax.
