Brief Answer:
CT or MRI brain; but please consider ruling out other causes as well

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Alzheimer's is age-related and is very uncommon in younger individuals (especially below the age of 40 years). Alzheimer's disease can be diagnosed using a physical examination and an MRI or CT scan of the brain to look for brain-related atrophy. The MRI and/or CT scan will be most accurate in diagnosing/ruling out Alzheimer's.

But I would also like to add, taking your age and sex into consideration your doctor may want to rule out a few other conditions that can also cause memory issues like:

+Thyroid abnormalities
+Depression
+Blood coagulation abnormalities
+Parkinson's disease
+Hormonal imbalances (especially common in women)

I would recommend you speak to your doctor to consider ruling out the other causes as well, along with the MRI or CT scan to rule out Alzheimer/s disease. I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you ma'am.

Best wishes.
