Question: What are the problems/side effects using Rituxan with Coumadin?

Are there particular side effects from using these 2 drugs together? I am taking 2 or 2 1/2 tabs of Coumadin every day (since 2010) and 325 (I think) of Rituxan intravenously since May, 2015 (for the 2nd time since 2008.) for non-hodgkins.

Brief Answer:
No interaction

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

There is no known interaction between coumadin and rituxan.
Rituxan is known for causing infections and during in the infusion there could be some allergic reactions. However in my experience all my patients have tolerated the infusion well but after a few weeks/ months they have had infections some of which required admission and treatment like pneumonia.

Coumadin if not treated within thr inr range is known to cause henorrhage, gangrene, hepatitis , etc

I hope i was of help, there are various other rare side effects since it is rare i have listed it down
