Brief Answer:
These are the side effects from the drugs

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing through HCM.

I have read your query and understood your concerns.

You are taking sizopin 450 mg and sulprit 400 mg in a day. These both are antipsychotic drugs which can cause tremors in hands, excessive salivation and difficulty in speech. These are the part of extrapyramidal side effects of antipsychotic drugs.

For how long have you been on this drugs? For how long you have been facing these side effects?

What is the dose of pacitane, you are taking? I don't understand norten, write the name of the drug in the tablet. I feel norten must be for sleep.

Increasing the dose of pacitane will help and resolve your side effects. You need to visit your prescribing psychiatrist and report this problem. You need adjustment of the drug dosage.

Answer the questions and if you have any other query then let me know.
Wish you good health.

How long I have to take Pacitane 2m ( ]How many days) to remove this side effects ( difficulty in speech amd tremors) and will it come again once it is stopped and restarted? I am asking this question as I am not aware of it.

Can this tremor and Speech difficulty can be cured if I take some other medicine? Please guide me as I am finding it very difficult to carry out my regular life style with shaking hands. I mean some exercise or medication from some Pharmacutecals?

Brief Answer:
Dose of pacitane should be 6 mg in a day

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing again.

These extrapyramidal side effects will respond to pacitane only. You have to increase the dose of pacitane after permission of your doctor.

In my patients I would have give 6 mg of pacitane: 2 mg in morning and 4 mg at 2.00 PM. When you increase the dose of pacitane your side effects will improve within 2 days and you need to continue pacitane for long duration because you are on two antipsychitics. When you are on these antipsychotics, you can not stop the pacitane, otherwise these side effects will reappear. Other details you can have from your treating psychiatrist and follow his advice.

There is no other drugs or methods like exercise which can reduce these side effects, So continue higher dose of pacitane and visit your psychiatrist for dosage change. DO not make changes on your own.

Hope I have answered your query. If you do not have further clarifications than close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wish you good health.

Thank you for your help. Kindly let me know if I want to do anything more from my side. I believe side effects will wash way after this adjustment within 2 days.

Brief Answer:
It is enough to avoid the side effects

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing again.

This is good. You doctor has done the right thing and you shall be fine. Your side effects will reduce within 2 days. He has adjusted the dose properly. So, now you do not have to do anything. Take the drugs as per advice.

Phenergan is a drug similar to pacitane. It is added to improve side effects. I feel that you shall not need it for long time. Take regular follow up and discuss about phenergan with your doctor in follow up.

Hope I have answered your query. If you do not have further clarifications then close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wish you good health.

Hi, thanks for writing again.

You have improved with side effects, that is great for me. There is nothing else I can ask for but do take regular follow ups to your psychiatrist. You can discuss about the reducing or stopping the phenergan after your side effects have completely gone.
