Brief Answer:
It is a medication given to lower blood glucose, to be taken as prescribed

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in details.
Tablet ZORYL 2 mg contains glimepiride which is given to lower blood glucose in diabetes.

It is given maximum 2 mg x three times a day and should not be taken more than that.

Should be taken with food. Take immediately before or during breakfast, or the 1st main meal of the day. Do not skip meals when taking it.

Nausea is the most common side effect of this medication due to sudden decrease in blood sugar levels and this can be discussed with your doctors should you have it and requires dose adjustment and dietary changes.

Rarely a person might get a severe side effect including the following and requires urgent medical attention

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); chest pain or irregular heartbeat; confusion; dark urine; fainting; fever, chills, or persistent sore throat; low blood sugar symptoms (eg, anxiety, dizziness, drowsiness, fast heartbeat, headache, lightheadedness, tremors, unusual sweating, weakness); severe or persistent blurred vision or other vision problems; unusual bruising or bleeding; unusual tiredness or weakness; yellowing of the eyes or skin.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
