Zoloft or sertraline is an anti depressant which is generally considered to be a safe and effective drug. It is even safe for cardiac patients and can even be used after a few days of myocardial infraction if needed.

There are some side effects which may be seen while using this drug-

Gastric- acidity, nausea ,vomiting, constipation, dry mouth , dryness of lips..etc

Sexual- it may give rise to delayed ejaculation, reduced libido, erectile problems which are dose related

Psychological - there is a risk of suicide with its use- during the early phase of recovery and therefore there is especial mention of high risk management to take care of the patient during that time.
