Question: Yes, my husband was prescribed Risperidone 0.5 mg. 1 at bedtime. Do you know what side effects he may experience? He also will be taking Pristiq and Ambien at the same time. Thank you

Taken at night it should help him sleep because one of its main side effects is sleepiness. Risperdone can also cause low blood pressure, tremors seizures and possibly exacerbate diabetes. If he has problems with urination it may make going to urinate that more difficult. The most dangerous side effect is the low pressure, seizures and severe tremors. If he has any of the later symptoms he sould contact his provider immediately.
