Brief Answer:
If hormonal replacement therapy, use with caution..

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Progyluton is containing the hormones Estradiol (2mg) and Progesterone(0.5mg).

It is used :
- as hormonal replacement therapy
- to continue your periods

At your age, it is not advised to continue the periods. Everything in our body comes to a natural balance. If the periods are going to stop because you entered menopause, then, I always recommend my patients to let the Nature do its duty.

You deserve to have the symptoms of menopause alleviated, thus, your OG specialist will decide if you need to use hormonal replacement therapy.

Please bare in mind that if your doctor decided not to prescribe Progyluton to you, that is because the side effects you get are higher than benefits.

So, if the second OG specialist decided not to prescribe, then, you can stop taking it after you have the next period. Please consult your doctor before stopping it; do not stop on your own.

To alleviate the symptoms of menopause, I advise to take Evening Primrose Oil supplement mixed with vitamins and minerals (especially vit.D and calcium for your bones'health). You can discuss this further with your OG specialist too.

All the best! If anything unclear, do not hesitate to write me back!
