Brief Answer:
Pexep is not advisable on longterm use.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.

I understand your concern.

Pexep is associated with such side effects like vertigo on drug withdrawal.

These withdrawal effects will come down or settle by themselves with careful reduction of drug dosages over a fixed time interval.

Gradual reduction of dosage by 30% over a fixed time interval of 6-9 months is usually employed.
This dose tapering has to strictly done under the supervision of your doctor.
Hence I advise you to discuss the same with him.

Dizziness can also be controlled with the help of drugs like Metoclopramide and Desloratidine.
Please note these drugs have to be taken only under strict medical supervision.

Because of this self limiting vertigo ,its not advisable to take this drug life long since it can cause renal and sexual dysfunction in the form decreased sex drive and urinary retention.

Also side effects on heart rate are prominent on longterm use like heart rate fluctuations and chest discomfort.

Long term effects on liver include liver enzyme leakage and jaundice.

Hence Pexep is not advised on long term use.

Post your further queries,if any

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Currently you can go with this half dosage, with your doctors permission

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.

This drug will not cause any side effects like elevation of blood pressure.

You can safely take this drug for another 6 -9 months without any major side effects.

Dose tapering over 9 months is the only alternative and best possibility to come out this dug induced side effects. It is best you do this under the supervision of your prescribing doctor.

Thank you.
