What Are The Side Effects Of Nexplanon?
Question: I had the Menera iud placed in August 2014. I had a really lot of hair loss and had it removed Oct. 27th and had the Nexplanon place the same day as the removal. They did a pregnancy test before implant and was negative. I waited till November 10th to have unprotected sex. I haven't had a period since the implant was placed and it is now December 27th. I took 2 pregnancy test and both negative, being they were the cheap ones. Is this normal? Or should I take another test and get a more expensive one, wait, or see my ob-gyn?

In my opinion the nexplanon has got the sideeffects like irregular periods or no periods.So mostly the absence of periods might be a sideeffects of nexplanon as the pregnancy tests are negative.
Mirena IUCD also has sideeffects like irregular periods and no periods.Failure rate of both is less so nothing to worry.It might not be pregnancy .You need not go for another test but wait for one more month.And if still the same you might consult the your gynaecologist for any ultrasound for confirmation.So just relax.
