Brief Answer:
Yes the drug is safe to use and is used in anxiety and depressive disorders

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Clonotril Plus consists of two drugs one is Escitalopram and other is Clonazepam. Out of these drugs Escitalopram is an anti anxiety and anti depressant drug and Clonazepam is anti anxiety and a hypnotic drug. Both of these drugs are safe to use and are free of serious side effects.

Escitalopram may cause increased restlessness, anxiety, nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, insomnia etc as common side effects. The anxiety and restlessness especially during first few days of therapy can be minimised by giving the drug with clonazepam or by starting with low doses. Over all the drug is safe and doesn't cause dependence. The drug should be tapered gradually over 4-6 weeks after continuous intake as this may cause withdrawal symptoms if stopped abruptly.

Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine drug. The drug is a safe drug but has potential to cause dependence, but if taken under proper prescription and with proper psychiatric consultation the drug is safe and can be tapered easily. Overall it is not advisable to take the drug regularly for more than 4 weeks.

Your main problem is of insomnia and probably its due to anxiety and the combination is right combination for your problems. As per my opinion you can take the drug without any fear. No risk of dependence and you can take the drug with Telvas AM also. Visit your psychiatrist regularly.

Thanks, hope this helps you. Please ask again for more doubts.

My self history is as follows, I am HBs Ag +ve, and non diabetic. Brief Answer:
Clonotril plus is safe and take the drug as per your prescription

Detailed Answer:
Hello again and thanks for asking a follow up question

First of all I would like to tell you that even if you are HbsAg positive but have normal liver functions even then you can take these drugs. These drugs are safe drugs and have minor side effects as I have mentioned in my last answer. You can take them without fear, as per your prescription.

These drugs will reduce your anxiety and you will feel better and this will improve your sleep. You can easily taper the doses of drug and you would not suffer any withdrawal. No need to worry.

As per my opinion you should avoid taking Ativan OR Alprax with this drug because the drug already consists of Clonazepam which is of same group as Alprax or Ativan. Taking these drugs simultaneously may result in significant sedation and increased risk of dependency and abuse potential.

I hope this helps you in making a decision. Still have more doubts please ask again.

Take care

Brief Answer:
You should take the drug as per prescription.

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking again

As per my opinion you should take Nexito Plus as prescribed by your doctor. Though the problem of sleep has improved but still as per my opinion, taking the drug will result in improvement in your symptoms and anxiety. This will help you in sleep and you will not become dependent on this. Don't take drugs like Ativan without prescription that can make you dependent. Nexito plus and Clontril Plus both consists of same molecules, so if you have been given Nexito Plus you can take it.

Thanks
