Brief Answer:
There are many

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

Plethora of medications is right term for using multiple medications which includes opioid pain killers, non opioid pain killers, stimulants, anticholinergics and benzodiazepines.

Similar to medications there are plethora of side effects which includes, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, GI bleeding, constipation, CNS depression, respiratory depression, drowsiness, dizziness, postural hypotension, cognitive impairment, dry mouth, retention of urine, increase in eye pressure, renal complications, forgetfulness, cardiac problems among others.

To be XXXXXXX there are many others in addition to what is described above and I do not think every side effect can be described in less than one hour time. I just mentioned the common side effects which I see frequently in my patients.

Having said this I like to inform you that side effect are not usual and it is not necessary to have side effects despite the multiple medications. It is important to make least possible number of medications after discussing with your doctor as more number increases risk of side effects.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

I have noticed depression, constant irritability, violent mood swings and mild delusions and at times a skewed perception of reality. Have you witnessed these side effects as well?

I neglected to mention Valium as well

Brief Answer:
Yes they do occur

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

Valium and clonazepam belong to same class of medications and do have similar side effects which I mentioned above.

Depression, mood swings, irritability all can occur with use of valium and clonazepam along with bentyl. I mean to say that there are multiple medication in your prescription which can result in experienced side effects.

I hope this assists you further.
