What Are The Side Effects Of Brintolex?

default
Posted on Mon, 16 Mar 2015
Question: I'm taking amino acids for an imbalance in my neurotransmitters, tyramine, glutamine and GABA, how likely is it that they might help? Also, I am weaning off lithium and may start on Brintolex, I've been told that it has a high success rate but causes nausea and itching.

Brief Answer:
Needs adjustments.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and I understand your concern. From the list of medication the first impression I get is you are on too much unnecessary medications. Cymbalta and aripiprazole are enough. Brintellex is also the same group of antidepressants. I suggest you consult a sensible psychiatrist and let them adjust the dosages. These medications might be exacerbating the major depressive disorder symptoms.
As far as amino acid nutrition is concerned these always help but ultimate help depends on why are neurotransmitters deficient. If it's some underlying neurological conditions you will need more than amino acids. If not then yes for sure amino acids are good.
Brintellix is better than lithium so wise choice. But you need to minimizer the drug intake. As you are taking unnecessary medications.
Topamax is a good addition for headaches. So continue that. Try some other methods like cognitive behavioural therapies and biofeedback etc.these have have shown proven benefits.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
