Brief Answer:
not more than 6 days.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing to us.
The above mentioned medicines should be stopped once the cough is under control
It cannot be given for a long duration,,not more than 6 days at a stretch, the side effects include restlessness, increased heart beat and tremolousness.
If the cough ,the current episode is still to cure completely, then kindly revisit your doctor to rule out infections which is one of the cause for persistent cough for a long duration.
Hope I have cleared your query, thank you.

Sir, you may laugh at that I am also giving to her with our fundamental concept of 1/2 teaspoon honey blended with few drops of Tulsi leaf extracts in the morning. Still am asking you, will it work against cough/cold/allergy? Should I continue with it?

Answered by Dr. Kaushik K Murthy (3 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Can be continued.

Detailed Answer:
Do not worry, they are traditional medicines, you can give them simultaneously without any side effects.
But if it is not showing any improvement, then you have to switch over to English medicine.
Avoid dust , body powder, mosquito coil & liquidator, deodrant , cold water , cold air, smoke ect which may cause allergy and cough.
Thank you.
