What Are The Repercussions After Accidental Ingestion Of Flonase Nasal Spray?

default
Posted on Thu, 7 Jul 2016
Question: I sprayed Flonase nasal spray up both nostrils about 3 hours ago and I just put my finger up the bottom of my nose and put my finger in my mouth They say in the directions if you get some in your mouth rinse right way with cool water. I just did that but it was about 10 minutes after I touched my nose. Would it be harmful to me if I got some of it in my mouth or being it was about 3 hours the spray would have dried up and dissipated?

Brief Answer:
No worries. All clear. Just avoid nose manipulation with fingers

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

i read your question and i understand your concern. Touching or picking nose and then using those fingers is unhygienic on its own and should be avoided but as far as flonase is concerned, no worries for that, even the spray you get in nose, that gets some of it via post nasal drip to throat any ways so nothing to worry or bother about , but don't use nose to be picked as nose may harbour staph infection and you may easily transmit that to your body face ( in guise of pimples) and other body parts, nothing serious but only thing is of hygiene and social normal.

I hope it helps. If it helps , take some tap water gargles and wash your hands. Should not be a problem.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
