Brief Answer: Ovum is released on 22nd day of cycle. Detailed Answer: Hello XXXX Thanks for writing to XXXXXXX Follicular study is done to study the development of follicles in each ovary with endometrial changes in the uterus. Ultrasonography is done usually on alternate days from the mid days of the cycle up to the rupture of ovum from ovary. In your case, ovum is released on 22nd day of cycle from the left ovary.ovulation is confirmed by presence of mild free fluid in POD.Right ovary didn't ruptured and it was same after attaining its maximum size. There is no problem even if right ovum is not released.Only one ovum is needed for fertilization and this time it is released from left ovary. You can plan for unprotected intercourse during next the two days from 22nd day(day on which ovum is released) as chances of pregnancy is maximum in these two days.Man on top is the preferable position for the best chances of pregnancy. Also female partner should lie down for 15-20 minutes after intercourse so that sperms can ascend inside easily. Wish you all the best. Hope i have answered your query. Further queries are most welcome. Take Care Dr.Indu XXXXXXX
