Brief Answer:
Cytomegalo virus Mononucleosus type is a variety of Herpes/Chicken pox

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX welcome to HCM,
Cytomegalo virus Mononucleosus type is a variety of Herpes/Chicken pox virus that infects more than half the population. It can be transmitted by sex, kissing, contact with blood and body fluids.
Usually it is asymptomatic
In a person with low immunity, it can affect lungs (pneumonia) and upper respiratory passages, liver and intestines.
Infection in pregnancy is dangerous. It can lead to congenital abnormalities in the baby and even death.
A person who gets the infection harbors it for life with no complications unless she has lowered immunity at any time. The infection can re-surface.
She has to be careful about pregnancy and take suitable anti-viral drugs if she decides to get pregnant.
She has to be careful about transmitting infection to others.
Long term prognosis is good.
However Betnelan can lower immunity.
I would suggest inhaled steroids instead of oral Betnelan.
You can revert back--Regards
