Question: Hello Doctors,

Myself XXXXXXX, me and my wife blessed with twin boy babies on 3rd July @ 35 weeks via C- Sec, She got blood sugar at 28 week and was taking insulin twice a day of 5 units, also bp got high on 34 week having medicine alphadoba 250 mg, On 35 week BP was increased to 150/100 and doctor did C-sec. Babies weight are 2000 grams each on birth. Since they born as preterm doctor wanted them to be in NICU for couple of days observation, 2nd day in NICU both the kids got jaundice levels are 6.1 and 8. Phototherapy treatment was given for a day levels are reduced to 4.4 and 6. I have couple of queries.

1. After delivery my wife sugar levels and bp became normal, whether this both is possible to come for her in future.

2. Since my wife had sugar and bp during pregnancy, whether my both babies have chance of the same to come in future.

3. Both the babies after feed they get hiccups and it stays as long as XXXXXXX of 10 mins and goes off. Whether this is a normal?

4. Babies are not able to take breastfeed directly, so we take her milk and give it via a spoon or bottle. What we doing is correct?

5. Since they are preterm twin babies what weight gain should they put after a month.

please clarify my above questions.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks & Regards
XXXXXXX

Thanks doctor for your quick reply.

since they are preterm twin boys

1. Apart from mother feed we also giving syrup ossopan-d as per doctor advise for calcium, is this both are enough to put babies in to normal weight.

2. Heard from many ppl, for twins preterm we need to check for eye (vision) regularly why it is so.

3. As a parent of pre term twins babies, how should be careful in taking care of them. Please provide some tips.

Thanks in Advance
