What Are The Chances Of STDs Transmission Through Masturbation?

default
Posted on Wed, 18 Mar 2015
Question: I was masturbated by hand and had mammary intercourse with a masseuse. Is there any risk of std's from this activity? There was no vaginal, anal, or oral sex of any kind. Should I get tested? I saw a doctor about 2 weeks later because I was up one night peeing 4 times and felt a little hot and cold all night. I don't think I had a fever. I had sex with my wife while she had a yeast infection a night or two before that and had a red spot on the head of my penis afterwards, then those peeing symptoms. The red spot was gone within a day or so but the skin there is still a little hard and dry. The doctor said I had no risk of STD from my activity and it was probably prostatitis which I had once ten years ago. He checked my urine which had no bacteria and gave me cipro anyway and I got worse. I read that a yeast infection can travel up the urethra and cause prostatitis. I've been treating the yeast with some diet changes and nutritional supplements and the prostatitis symptoms are almost all gone. I'm just worried that it is/was some std from the masseuse. Am I just being paranoid? Thank you in advance.

Brief Answer:
There is no risk of STD's form your history

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic.

I understand from your query that you are concerned whether you have acquired a sexually transmitted infection.

From your history, it seems unlikely that you would have counteracted a sexually transmitted infection.

You could have got a yeast infection from your wife. That could cause mild burning while passing urine and redness around the glans penis. But, prostatitis from yeast infection is extremely rare.

You could drink lots of water ( up to 2 liters per day).

Apply a cream containing 2 % Clotrimazole twice a day for 2 weeks on the red area on the penis.

Try not to worry too much about the risk of STD. In case the fear is affecting your day to day work, you could get an ELISA test done for HIV 1 and 2 about 4-6 weeks from the date of sexual activity.

Hope this helps you.

Take care.
