Hi and welcome to HCM.

Well, you are probably concerned about HPV infection... However, HPV is much more dangerous for women than for men and it rarely causes serious diseases in men. Males with HPV are usually just carriers and they don't even experience warts or any other changes. But, if you plan to have intercourse with new partners in future, it would be good to get tested to see your status so that protection can be used, if necessary.

Feel free to ask in case of any further doubts

Wish you good health.

First, I thought there was no test for men. Secondly, being 3 years ago, the virus may have been overcome by my body if I was infected. I also had unprotected sex with another woman 2 years ago. Should I ask her to get a test done?

Hi

Detailed Answer:
There are blood tests which may detect HPV antibodies. It's true that you may have had it at that time. Also, it is possible that you did not catch it all. But,also, hpv may be dormant in body even without symptoms. If you didn't have any wart all this time then infection was not likely. About testing of your partner, there is no clear recommendation. Every women should do hpv test as part of gynecologic work up so I don't think you should inform her.
