Brief Answer:
Information

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Typical signs and symptoms of breast cancer in men are a lump or thickened area in the breast, any changes in appearance to the breast area or nipple (red, dimpled, scaling, etc), and sometimes discharge from the nipple.

Tenderness alone is not always indicative of breast cancer but it should be checked out. So while it is not extremely suspicious, I do recommend getting checked. The doctor should palpate the area, and possible do an ultrasound and in some cases, a needle aspiration biopsy or other tests.

If you are taking any medications that have hormonal effects, such as to shrink the size of the prostate, that can have an effect on breast tissue, causing tenderness sometimes.
