Brief Answer:
Would not affect the fetus significantly if any!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear that you took this drug not being aware of the fact that you were possibly pregnant. This drug is normally formally contraindicated during pregnancy. This is not because of any significant fetal consequences observed and reported but for precautionary reasons. No studies have clearly established what the consequences of this drug are if taken during pregnancy. The consequences would be very minimal as it is the equivalent of a naturally occurring hormone in the early stages of pregnancy . Stay calm because 5days are not that much to cause severe complications in the fetus.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Thanks for your response. But few suggested that incase if i am carrying a femal fetus then the chances of it affecting the baby is more. I want to know how likely it is to happen. I just dont want to take the risk knowing that it might affect by baby.

Brief Answer:
Very minimal!

Detailed Answer:
The chances of any possible malformations are less than 1 in a thousand. It is okay to be concerned and more so if it is a female but, not like it is one of those drugs that would inevitably lead to a malformation.

Would you be taking on chances going forward? Yes. Are these in significant proportions? NO. If this were my pregnancy, I will take on myself the chances of carrying on to term unless some new evidence comes up.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to keep the discussion going if need be.
