Taking Methadone. Can It Be Detected In Urine Analysis?

Question: if taking methadone &you get a urine analysis will the results come out the same as if you are taking opium or will the results be different , in other words will they both come out as opiates or will they both come be in a different drug class how long does methadone stay in your system

No methadone will not show in the standard opiate test. The test is different.

Methadone is seen in the urine by a methadone drug test for a few days (upto 10 days). Methadone maintenance users are found positive by this test even up to 30 days after the last dose.
