Brief Answer:
Seems to be the yeast infection, oral and topical antifungal recommended, answer a few questions.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

It seems to be a yeast infection.

Do you have diabetes?
Are you taking any antibiotics for any other reasons or any long-term medicines?
Is your sexual partner having any history of vaginal discharge or itching?

If I were your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply topical antifungal like Clotrimazole cream on the affected areas twice daily and take prescription based antifungal like tablet Fluconazole 150 mg single dose stat.

For itching take antihistaminic like tablet Cetirizine 10 mg once daily at bedtime.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.

Don't have diabetes. Not taking any antibiotics. Have been applying the attached polyderm cream on affected area for over two years now. It works in a day in clearing up the infection. However, it comes back as soon as I stop the cream. My wife had the yeast a few years back. I seem to have gotten it from her. Now she gets itchyness after unprotected sex(when I seem to be clear of the infection) but recovers. Once I'm ok with the polyderm cream, the infection reappears even without any sexual activity. Flucos gel and tablets or clotrimazole has zero effect on the infection and it takes the same time to recover before coming back as without applying anything. I suspect the yeast is inside like the intestine or bladder, which spreads to penis infecting it even without any sexual activity. Sometimes the foreskin gets extremely tight and recovers only after the outer layer of skin has flaked off. Please advise a strong and permanent solution to this.

Brief Answer:
Apply sertaconazole cream and take cap itraconazole, stop these creams.

Detailed Answer:

Hi again,

You have been applying Bekker otc cream and polyderm cream.
Both these creams contain clobetasol propionate cream which is a potent steroid.

Steroids only cause temporary improvement and don't let the infection heal completely.

That 's why your condition improves when you apply the cream and returns back to the same form after stopping the medication.

Also, your cream contains Terbinafine which is an antifungal but not active against yeast infection.

I would recommend you to discontinue these creams immediately.
Also, take capsule itraconazole and apply sertaconazole cream on the affected areas.

These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

Hope I have answered your query.
