Question: Dear Dr. Rynne,
I've had a stroke in which my blood leaked thru a capillary in the left side of my brain and being toxic damaged some neurons in the sensory part of the brain which has caused some sensory issues on all of my right side.
What are the treatments, nutrients, vitamins etc. would you recommend that will help facilitate healing and recovery?
XXXX

The stroke occurred XXXXXXX 9, 2013. The bleed was encapsulated in a pocket about the size of an almond. I took 20 hyperbaric oxygen treatments and approx. 30 days after the stroke I had an MRI that showed the pocked of blood was all gone.
I had gone to the Hershey Medical Hospital, Hershey, Pa. I'm in good health - Resting Blood Pressure is 120/65 and heart rate 68. Oxygen transfer is 98 - 99% Never smoked or drank Alcohol. Height 6'2" and weight 175 to178# If you need my medical record of this event I can have Hershey send them to you.

Brief Answer:
Physical therapy and regular exercises are the best tool!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about the stroke you had and ll the inconveniences this has caused you. I am happy to know you are able to walk and use your right side like before. However, the sensory difficulties also need to be addressed as well.

The truth is that, nerves take a very long time to ever get repaired. Some never get to. No amount of drugs would accelerate this process at this time. Vitamins, supplements, etc. would not do marvels. Am sincere and would not want you to go wasting money on drugs that would not help at this time.

The best approaches are physical therapy(massage) and regular exercises. Eat healthy, drink enough water, eat much fruits and vegetables and above all, keep a positive state of mind. These are the best proven methods to help at this time.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
