Suggest Ways To Manage A Bed Bug Infestation

Question: Hi doctor, I've had an all-of-a-sudden quick infestation of my living space which in some 2 weeks went from nice&clean to having bedbugs, some smaller insects on some of the clothes (that came back after professional cleaning), even smaller ones occasionally crawling on my desk and computer bag. I also felt like I had some insects biting me at night in the face. I moved out from there and went to a doctor who prescribed me Nix (permethrin) and Ivermectin orally. I now live in a new clean place, bought new clothes, but in the morning I see 6-7 brown spots at the top of my pillow, somewhere around a quarter of a XXXXXXX in size. What would that be? What kind of bugs I might be carrying in me? Or is it normal while the treatment works?

Brief Answer:
Get rid of bedbugs

Detailed Answer:
Hi, welcome to healthcaremagic,

I have gone through your query and understood your concern.

Bedbugs are small, oval, brownish insects that live on the blood of animals or humans. Bedbugs do not fly, but they can move quickly over floors, walls, and ceilings.

Bedbugs are active mainly at night. Most bedbug bites are painless initially but later turns itchy. It is seen only on exposed sites.

One must needs to find and identify bedbug to confirm bedbug bites.
Other sign of bedbugs are-
Blood stains on your sheets or pillowcases
Dark or rusty spots of bedbug excrement on sheets and mattresses, bed clothes, and walls.
Brown spot on your pillow indicates that bedbugs are still active.

Getting rid of bedbugs begins with cleaning up the places where bedbugs live.
It might be possible that you are carrying bedbugs with your bedding, clothes or mattresses.

Ivermectin and permethrin are treatment given to get rid of mites infestation.

While cleaning up infested areas will be helpful in controlling bedbugs, getting rid of them usually requires chemical treatments.

Generally it is safest and most effective to hire an experienced pest control professional for bedbug extermination.

Hope this will help you.
Thanks.
