Brief Answer:
Betnesol, a cortisone will definitely put weight on you

Detailed Answer:
You have at least lost 5 kg and you should feel positive about that. I do not know your height or if you are male or female which makes a specific recommendation difficult. If you are wondering what type of weight you are losing, I suggest you track your % body fat and that will tell you if you are losing fat, which is really what you are asking. You want to lose 10 kg or 22 lbs in the next 4-5 months. Please figure out what amount of kcals you are eating now because if I calculate 30 kcal/kg x 125 kg = 3750 kcals. To lose two pounds per week or about 1 kg per week you should subtract 1,000 calories per day to equal 2750 kcal and that is still a lot of kcals. If you lose 1 kg per week for 4 months that would be 16 kg. It is certainly doable. I cannot break your kcals down without knowing whether you are male/female and your height. I suggest you drop your carbohydrates down limiting high glycemic carbohydrates like white rice, white noodles, potatoes and increase lean protein and eat only good fats as much as possible. A mix of cardio and strength training is suggested. If being weighed on the scale makes you feel bad then have someone else weigh you backwards and let them take your weight. Or, realize that you need to eat less and exercise more. Without details I suggest you take what you are eating now, look at the portion sizes and cut them in half as a sor of general recommendation. If you are still on Betnesol, limiting high glycemic carbohydrates will help more with the weight loss. Eat fresh vegetables as it takes more kcals to digest than what the vegetables give. Eat only fresh fruit, no more than 1/2 c juice per day; no sodas; no sugared beverages period. Add green tea 3x per day to stimulate metabolism. If you need further clarification or would like to provide the info requested (ht, sex) and give me an idea of how you are eating now I can try to be more specific if you would like. Thanks for the opinion Dr XXXXXXX I am a 21 yrs old male, Ht : 177 or 5ft10, I try to control my calories as much as possible but end up eating some or the other thing, as i am an XXXXXXX i start the day with a cup of tea, breakfast - 3 wheat chapathis with egg omlette or vegetables, lunch - 3 wheat chapathis with vegetables, and evening i take a cup of tea, dinner at 9pm 3 wheat chapathis and some vegetable of curry, as i work 9 hours i don't have so much of time to take 5 to 6 short meals in a day, i am fond of rice and eat when there is some get together or on my week offs in the afternoon, i started taking Hydroxycut hardcore elite tablets, i take it as it gives me energy to workout, i do 25 to 30 minutes of strength training and 20 to 25 minutes of cardio with 20 minutes treadmill and 10 minutes in the recumbent bike, i am really feeling good and healthy than what is was few months back, but the numbers in the weighing scale demotivate me, im okay even if i lose 2 to 2.5 kgs in a month but thats not happening, Appreciate your valuable suggestion.

Brief Answer:
Yes, I did see in your history you are male, but the ht is valuable

Detailed Answer:
Sir,
I see one or two problems. Eating rice is a high glycemic carbohydrate and I suspect your body is not handling these very well. Please cut your rice intake in half. Also I would like to see you eat more lean protein as you are eating starch (3 chapathis) and vegetables. I do not see where you are obtaining 125 g protein that you need per day. If I were to do a diet distribution on you based on 2500 kcal it would be 125 g pro (20%), 83 g fat (30%) and 313 g carbohydrates (50%). So, you need to increase your lean protein and cut down on your carbohydrates. The 2500 kcal comes from subtracting about 1000 kcal per day from what I calculated you are eating to maintain your current weight. Your exercise routine is as I suggested. Please cut down on the chapthis and rice, replace with lean protein. Your optimal weight is approximately 80 kg or so, but aim for what is reasonable and achievable for you. I know you would like to lose wt. faster, but slower wt. loss is easier to keep off, but if permanent dietary changes are not made along with a permancy in exercise I fear you might end up with a chronic disease such as diabetes. I also see you are taking hydroxycut, which I concur with the previous consultation you received, do not take these. Instead, drink green tea as often as you can because it does stimulate metabolism whereas there are no evidence based studies that show hydroxycut increases weight loss or increases energy. You are probably feeling better because you have dropped weight are exercising and are not taking cortisone any longer. You did admit you are snacking. Snack only vegetables or low kcal options. Studies have shown that people will snack on a plate of fresh vegetable if sat in front of them as much as they will junk food. I refer you to my weight loss boards and my self healing board (infographics) located at https://www.pinterest.com/kathyshattler/ to gain nutrition knowledge, weight loss education, motivational sayings and constant help in motivating you to achieve your goals. Being of XXXXXXX descent you are not foreign to meditation. Try meditating to relieve stress, the urge to overeat and also you can place an image of how you want to look in your mind's eye to help motivate you subconsciously. I cannot think of anything else, so in summary:
1)cut in half your chapathis and replace with more lean protein and vegetables
2)Do not eat so much rice. 1/4 cup of rice has about 15 g carbs and they are high glycemic.
3)Continue with exercise routine
4)Aim for a % body fat of not greater than 20%
5.Meditate
6)You drink tea, make certain it is GREEN tea, drink at least 3 cups per day
7)Discontinue hydroxycut
8)Continue using curry, tumeric and such as they are also good for achieving optimal health and weight
9) You are not losing the amount of wt. you want to because you continue to snack on the wrong things or snack at all and are eating the wrong foods and too much of them.

I surely hope this gives you more guidance. And, despite the fact your wt.loss is not rapid you had lost 3 kg by January and now are up to 5 kg in March. Again visit my pinterest board on healing the inner self and weight loss at the url I provided. It has been a pleasure talking with you. My best wishes go to you.Kathy Shattler, MS,RDN
