Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I can understand your concern for the complexion of your 5 month old baby.

To help you in the best way possible I request you to kindly provide certain important clarifications:

- Since how long you feel the change of complexion?

- Is it sudden change occurring in few days or gradual change in few weeks?

- Is it a deep dark complexion or something usual dark complexion. Or kindly elaborate the grade of change of complexion?

- Why do you think your baby needs fairer complexion?

Hope to hear soon from your side.

Brief Answer:
It's a normal natural phenomenon. Don't or worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for your further follow up with the details.

After analyzing the complete query let me reassure you first that overall this is quite usual to have change in complexion after birth. It is due to the fact that till the baby is in mother's, the color producing cells are less active. As soon as the external environmental factors comes into role then the skin produces more color and hence a darker complexion.

It is very much natural to have change of complexion during these initial few months. This most often remain for first year of life then the natural complexion regains. This is not only important but also a necessary change in infants as a protective measure.

I quite often counsel such kind of situation in parents worried for darker complexion. In such kind of situation I suggest simple elovera based cream application and nothing else.

Don't try to apply any fairness cream as can harm your baby's skin.

I hope this helps.

Brief Answer:
You can play in simple water activities and swimming.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for your further follow up.

It is quite alright to play in water theme park five months after the cesarean operation. Majority of healing occurs in 2 months of any operation. Though for water activities it is quite fine to play in but it is also important to not to indulge in stretching a lot. So do play in light sports activity or simple swimming.

My all good wishes for your healthy life.
