Brief Answer:
overeating vs binge eating disorder

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I have been through your question and understand your concern.

Eating too much is a common problem, especially at your age. If it becomes troublesome then you should seek some specialist help. The first thing is prevent overeating. Thus, it is important to distinguish if it is a simple overeating or a compulsion which is sometimes called binge eating disorder. In the later case you might need some psychological consult and therapy can be very effective. In both cases you should change your eating habits, which is not that hard, and with the appropriate help things can get better.

Beside this, I see you are overweight, which again needs a strict diet and lots of physical activity, which might be a simple walk but to be done regularly.

Sometimes, overeating is reported to be related to hypothalamic abnormality, which is a brain structure. But the reports are lacking strong evidence, so I would not recommend to follow this line.

So I recommend a psychological or psychiatric consult to distinguish which is the cause of overeating and then change your habits.

Hope this helps, please feel free for further questions
