Question: I hv pcos. I m on triquilar. Levonorgestrel and ethinylestradiol tablets IP. I started the tablet on fifth day of my period i.e 03 july 2016. Today i had sex wth my partner. Condom broke he ejalculated inside me. Please suggest me which pill should i take on immediate basis to avoid pregnancy.also will it affect my periods since i am already on triquilar pill.

You have started taking triquilar pill just 3 days ago. You need an extra protection like I-pill to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. It is best to take the pill as soon as possible. It can cause a mild bleeding after 2-3 days due to withdrawal bleeding. Do continue taking Triquilar pill as scheduled.

Hi. As per your suggestion i have taken ipill after 2 hrs of hvin sex. Is there a chance of pregnancy now. Will takin ipill affect my period? Will it delay it. Or i wl hv regular periods since i m on triquilar.
Also i would like to know since i hv taken ipill. If i hv unprotected sex today in night will it be okay?

Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The chances of pregnancy now are less than 3%. This is almost nil chances. Taking I-pill can cause mild spotting after 2-3 days but your periods are not likely to be delayed because you are taking Triquilar.
The I-pill gives you protection for only 24- 48 hours. It is best not to indulge in unprotected sex in this cycle to be very sure.

Dear doctor
Wat if i dnt spot minor bleedin on the third or fourth day . I took ipill on wednesday..no bleedin so far. Does tht mean i m pregnant?
