Brief Answer:
first trimester care.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
thanks for the query to HCM,
At 2 months pregnancy now, i believe the foetal heart beat must have arrived already and her initial dating scan would have been completed with all initial antenatal investigations. One thing which is important to follow is to avoid intercourse till 14th week of gestation to avoid any chances of accidental miscarriage. She should be continuing her TAB folic acid 5mg daily along with tab SUSTEN 300 SR ( MICRONISED PROGESTERONE ) daily hence till 12th week to support pregnancy and to avoid any congenital anomalies ( folic acid intake).

A pregnant woman should take utmost caution of what she eats. A nutritious diet rich in proteins, iron, calcium and omega 3 fatty acids is recommended. Overall besides normal food make sure she takes a big glass of milk daily, 2-3 eggs in a week, chicken/ fish twice a week, take 2 helping of fruits and salads daily. Taking 5-6 almonds alone a piece or two of walnuts daily should overall take care of your nutritional requirements. Hope this helps you.

Thirdly, CLOUD 9 is a good hospital for maternity care and you have experienced obstetricians working there. you may opt for it.

Thank you very much for your swift response.

Just another query - For better care she is planning to go her hometown XXXXXXX ( I.e 250kms from Bangalore) now. I'm getting mixed reviews where people say she can travel and some say she shouldn't.
If she can - what is best mode? -- by train ( that may have climbing of footbridge but it should be a comfort journey) or is it by car on highway where we can take sufficient time and breaks ? I'm confused on this part. Please suggest

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Travelling can be undertaken by any route provided the aim of avoiding any bumps or jerks or sudden breaks can be looked after. In comparision to car, i feel train journey would still be more comfortable and easy. One cannot avoid sudden speed breakers or bumps in the car. So train would still be better.
Pregnancy is not an ailment and she doesn't become a patient either, she is normal but pregnant. SO she can walk , move around, just that no lifting of weights and should always watch her step. Avoid brisk walking or undue exertion. Also important is to avoid cough and cold which can increase intra-abdominal pressure.
