Suggest Treatment Itching Throughout Body
Question: I itch over a lot of my body, limbs, arms, ankles upper legs and crotch. It started like jock itch in crotch but now has spread. It is not a rash, skin looks normal but sometimes the itch becomes very painful ( a burning )sensation. I started using a combination of hydrocortisone and clotrimazole in my crotch with some relief. But as the syntoms has spread to my limbs it seems to be less effective.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to fungal infection like tinea corporis. If you send a picture of the rash then it will be more helpful in identifying. For such fungal infections I would suggest antifungal lotion like terbinafine and oral anti fungal like fluconazole weekly once. Blood sugar should be checked also.

with all due respect, my inquiry also explained that I have been using antifungal lotion. I also explained that there is not a rash, my skin appears normal yet a terrible itch that is spreading and has become painful like burning

I have read about the anti fungal medication clotrimazole you used. This won't be effective for some fungal infections and much more potent one like terbinafine and an oral agent will be necessary.
Blood routine test and blood sugar should be done which will help to rule out high blood sugar or allergic conditions which can cause such problem.
If you have any history of unprotected sexual intercourse with risky partner then VDRL blood test should be done to rule out syphilis.
Antihistamines like benadryl and calamine lotion can be used till then.
