Suggest Treatment Fro Dark Spots On The Lips

Question: hello doctor would you recommend that I get a polyp exam? I have several dark spots on my lips that appeared last year. I am 18 currently.

Peutz Jeghers Syndrome is a familial disease.
Since no one in your family have it, it is unlikely that you have PJ syndrome.

Moreover the pigmented spots of PJ appear during infancy and most except those in the oral cavity fade by puberty. But in your case the pigmented spots appear only after puberty.

All these suggest that you do not have PJ syndrome and so there is no need for a polyp examination.
