Brief Answer:
Due to infection.Continue treatment & local hygien

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through the query, attached reports and understood your concern.

The swelling is due to the infection. This will take some time to resolve after starting treatment as the inflammatory reactions that happen around the infected site will have to clear along with the causing agent. So usually with treatment the symptoms will clear first and later on the swelling.

Now continue the treatment, maintain good local hygiene, use only clean cotton inner wares sun dried and prevent or avoid sweating or moistness in that area. These measures will help you along with the medication.
You haven't written on the drugs you are taking to comment on it.

I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask if any further queries and I will be glad to answer them.
Wish you good health.

Brief Answer:
4 weeks. Fluconazole!. anti inflammatory drug

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I think its fluconazole. As each agent has its ownspectrum and activities, we need to discuss specifically.

Fluconazole should be taken for 4 weeks with dose of 150mg for cutaneous candidiasis. Along with this take anti inflammatory drug like aceclofenac or Ibuprofen for inflammation. If more itching antihistamine like cetrizine or loratidine will help in preventing symptoms. .

I hope this information helps you and answered your question.
Wish you faster recovery and good health.

Brief Answer:
Part of STD

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

STD is a spectrum of infections transmitted through sexual contact. Yeast infection can also spread through sexual contact. It is also one of the component of STD. But it can spread through other ways like unhygienic practices also.

It doesn't seem to be related to those scary STD that you read about on the web.

Hope i answered your query. Feel free to ask further related query.
