Suggest Treatment For Yeast Infection During Breastfeeding
Question: Hello, thank you for being available to ask you a question! My daughter just had a baby, 6-7 weeks old, and she is breastfeeding, and is experiencing yeast infection ,but doesn't know if she can take homeopathic remedies for candida, if she is breastfeeding.

My daughter is 27 years old, has high Blood pressure, on high blood pressure medications, and has tried every official medication for yeast infection that is offered by her doctor. She wanted to try the homeopathic candida pellets, but wasn't sure if she could use them with breastfeeding. Your reply is that it is not advisable, but to do nistatine drops are safe. Are these available Otc or by prescription? What about diet, do you advise changing diet and eliminating sugars and carbohydrates from her diet?

Well some people have weakened immune system and it may lead to increased rate of yeast infections. Also, it can be seen if antibiotics are used too frequent.
Nistatine drops are considered safe and are produced for pregnant women and breastfeeding. I think that prescription is required. Diet should not have some significant effect. Only good hygiene may. However, some vitamins are required for normal functioning of immune system especially vitamin C, D, and B12. Wish you good health. Regards
