Suggest Treatment For Wheezing And Cough

Question: Having wheezing and cough. Taken the following medicines 20 days back when I had severe wheezing and cough: cap abflow 100 (twice a day for 10 days), antibiotic ( once a day for 10 days), levolin inhaler 2 hourly for 4 days, seroflo 125 twice daily.

Thanks for your query.
You need to take seroflo 125 inhaler twice daily regularly with continuous monitoring and proper optimal step-up and step-down of your therapy whenever needed in appropriate situation. Montelukast can be given regularly. Acebrophylline can be used in exacerbation but not a mandatory anti-asthmatic drug. Levolin is a rescuer and you can use it effectively whenever there is exacerbation. Antibiotics can be used only when there is fever, increased sputum volume and purulence or any of these three. Regular follow up and adherence to the drugs along with life style modifications are the mainstay of asthma therapy.
