Brief Answer:
Atovarstatin/Glucophage-possible causes as following....

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

I have gone through your medical history carefully and I can say as following:

1. The progressive weakness you've been facing recently is due to:
- age (as your doctor said)
- Atovarstatin use. Please bare in mind that this medication is of statin group and can cause muscle weakness over time. You can discuss this further with your doctor.

2. When you say "diarrhea", I need to know:
- how often you have bowel movements/day ? (frequency)
- is your stool: solid or loose or watery? (consistency)

In some patients, using Glucophage can give diarrhea problems. I need to have the above-mentioned info first before giving final conclusion.

Hope it helped!

Brief Answer:
Food intolerance/cholecyst problems...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back XXXXXXX

Thank you for your follow up queries.

At this point, as you are reporting to have diarrhea only after lunch, then, this makes me think over:

- foods you consume during lunch-time
- cholecyst problems (which are commonly occurring in diabetics).
- intolerance to foods you consume during the morning

I advise to run abdominal ultrasound to evaluate cholecyst (for sludge? stones? inflammation/infection) and pancreas.

Liver/pancreas function tests are advised to determine the final diagnosis.

Let me know if I can be of further help!
