Question: I am a 49 year old male and have had a problem for about 1 year with difficulty with a weak urine stream and needing to urinate often at night.

Difficulty in passing urine and weak stream could be either due to Bladder neck obstruction or Enlarged prostate

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Are you diabetic?

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

To answer your question: As far as I know I am not diabetic. I am 6 feet tall and have a waist of 32" and weigh 170 lbs. I forgot to mention that also for about the past year I have had erectile dysfunction.
