Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Warts are result from virus called HPV. Once a wart appears it is likely to spread to other places on the body. They are difficult to treat even in the modern times.
Most warts resolve spontaneously on their own in couple of years.
If you want to treat them, I suggest you to try home techniques first. Always use lowest expensive treatment first and gradually to expensive ones. You can try painless ones first and go to painful ones.

Raw garlic clove juice can be applied at night for two weeks. If it does not help use duct tapes over it and remove them quickly. If these do not work.

Meet a Dermatologist for salicyclic acid prescription till 50%, it is very low cost lotion which can work wonders in most.

We are still in a stage of development of vaccines against HPV virus. So prevention is not possible.
